Version 1.2 download NOW! (190 kb) 04-03-99
Installation Instructions:
This is a free 32-bit Windows 95/98/NT screen saver, designed to
be viewed at 16-bit color or higher with sound enabled.
Download the file (chichi.exe) and save it to a temporary
directory. Run chichi.exe and choose to extract the file
(Chichi.scr) to either your C:\Windows directory (Win 95/98) or
your C:\Winnt directory (Win NT). Select the screen saver
from Control Panel->Display, as you would any other Windows
screen saver. If you're replacing an earlier version, simply
overwrite the old file with this new one.
Abstract:
This cute little screen save was designed for my
fiancee, who just loves her chihuahua Chichi (see pic
above). Fueled by the popularity of the Taco Bell chihuahua
ads, I came up with a simple concept. In version 1.x,
Chichi floats randomly around a blank screen professing her love
for Taco Bell. Her voice is comprised of the synthesized
phrases that the actual talking Taco Bell chihuahua dolls say.
Version 2.0 should be comleted some day in the future and will have a more expanded and entertaing animation as well as better sound effects and possibly background music. Someday the goal is to render chichi in 3D using DirectDraw and incorporate it into the screen saver.
